Tibetan iatrology and iatrologies of other nationalities are summaries of China’s minorities’ experiences in the prevention and treatment of diseases in thousands of years.  As such a treasure， it has contributed greatly to the procreation and development of all the nationalities, and has constituted an important part of the world’s traditional medicine.

           Tibetan and other ethnic medicines demonstrate the strong vitality of traditional medicine with their unique theoretical system，simple and practical methods of diagnosis and treatment and distinct clinical effects，and therefore become widely accepted all over the world.

           Since the establishment of our Hospital, the superiority of ethnic medicine has been fully developed. Special departments，special diseases and special physicians are the characteristics of our services. We have unique advantages in the treatment of cardio-vascular and cerebro-vascular diseases， senile encehalopathy， atrophic gastritis， asthma， rheumatic diseases， rheumatoid diseases， hyperlipaemia， hepatocirrhosis， mastitis, various pain and anesthsia, eye diseases， infertility， andropathy， gynecology and chronic fatigue symptoms. Among them, the Tibetan department of cardio-vascular and cardio-vascular diseases has been listed as one of the National Significant Departments by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After four years’ of building up, the Department passed the acceptance check in November 27, 2006.

In addition, attention has been paid to basic installations. The Hospital is equipped with a large number of advanced modern apparatuses， which enabled it to reach the advanced level  among similar type of hospitals in the aspect of hardware. In the recent decade，nearly one billion visitors, including more than 200，000 from over 50 foreign countries in the world, visited our Hospital.

           Tibetan medicine from the snowy plateau， the characteristic service of medical treatment provided by physicians of various nationalities, sequestered and comfortable environment of diagnosis and treatment，as well as the thoughtful services all demonstrate the unique charm of Chinese medicine to the world. The archaic medical culture shines together with the wisdom of modern people, twinkling with the health rationality of returning to the nature.
